March Garden News

Gardening in Sacramento... and the great beyond

Hi! Here it is March, and we’re all getting spring fever … when even non-gardeners start getting the urge to dig in the dirt! The nurseries are getting stocked up on all those New-For-2010 plants. Vegetable gardening continues to grow as a hot trend. I think this is great...being able to pick your own lemons, or tomatoes from the vine or a bit of basil from your herb garden is easy and immensely satisfying. I’m trying out an EarthBox this year courtesy of CSN stores. I think this could be a great for people who have limited gardening space, horrid soil or who want some veggies but don’t want to be tied to their watering chores. We’ll see… I’m also trying some new seed introductions from Renee’s Garden.
